Bacone College celebrates 5o Years of Nursing Education on Saturday, May 4.
The official celebration starts at 10 a.m., Saturday, with a welcome from Marlene Smith, R.N. Ed.D., Bacone academic vice president emeritus.
The 50-year celebration program also includes the "Real Pathfinders" - members of the first Bacone ADN graduating class - Peggy Parsons and Veraman Davis.
Other featured speakers include Billie Tower, former Bacone ADN program director and associate professor of nursing, and Nancy Diede, R.N. Ed.D., former director and associate professor of nursing.
After the ceremony, visitors are invited to have lunch and visit with friends in Bacone Commons, or take a tour of the Bacone campus.
The Bacone College Commencement is slated for 2 p.m. at the Muskogee Civic Center.
All Bacone nursing graduates and guests are invited to attend the May 4 celebration and encouraged to RSVP attendance to insure ample seating and refreshments.
