Sure, you can go to the school web site and then reach the Baconian Online, or even bookmark it or do an RSS feed.
Those are decent ways to keep up with the very latest Bacone news – but why not make the online student newspaper your home page?
No matter which search engine used – Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc. – the process is simple.
Setting the Home Page in Firefox (Choose one of two methods.)
Dragging to the Home Button:
- Open Firefox;
- Navigate to the Baconian Online (http://baconian.bacone.edu);
- Click on the icon to the left of the web address and drag it to the “Home” toolbar button (that looks like a little house);
- Click “Yes” to confirm
Using the Firefox options Preferences Window:
- Navigate to the Baconian Online (http://baconian.bacone.edu);
- At the top of the Firefox windowOn the menu bar, click on the “ToolsFirefoxEdit Menu”;
- Select “Options" and Preferences”;
- Click on “Use Current Page”
Setting the Home Page in Safari
- Choose “Safari”, then “Preferences” and click “General”
Now Do One of the Following:
Type in http://baconian.bacone.edu in the “Home Page” field;
- Next choose “Home Page” from the “New Windows Open With” pop-up menu.
Setting the Home Page in Internet Explorer
- Start Internet Explorer;
- On the “Tools” menu, click “Internet Options”;
- Click the “General” tab;
- In the Address Box, type http://baconian.bacone.edu;
- Click “OK” to confirm
Congratulations. Now every time you get on the Internet, the Baconian Online home page appears to help you “stay in the loop” and keep up with the very latest campus news, student activities and sports.
