Their Dec. 5 performance at Tulsa’s Cain’s Ballroom was not Chimaira’s first in Oklahoma.

But, it was hands down their best.

The heavy metal act features Mark Hunter-vocalist, Matt DeVries-guitarist, Rob Arnold-guitarist, Jim LaMarca-bass, Andols Herrick-drums, and Chris Spicuzza-keyboards.

Chimaira united with Whitechapel as openers for Trivium’s “In The Mouth…” fall tour.

In an exclusive Baconian Online interview, Mark Hunter said Chimaira joined the bill after getting asked to come jam.

Fans were stunned at news that Michael Jackson died.
To this day, many struggle to accept that he is truly gone.

Being 18, and raised in a family that only appreciated rock 'n'roll, I could care less about Jackson.

The loss his fans suffered did not register with me. That was until I heard the news.

Bacone still keeps its promise to American Indians, 129 years later.

Through donations, the college  rededicated Poloke-Bosen Hall.

“If you go back all the way to the beginning of Bacone, it was started for Native Americans,” said American Indian Learning Work Community Director Kyle Taylor.

Despite a treacherous rainstorm, Poloke-Bosen filled Oct. 1 to witness a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly remodeled dorm.
