Bacone Students Show Their Talents

Thursday night did not disappoint.

At 9 p.m., there was another installment of “Bacone’s Got Talent” sponsored by Student Government Association.

There were a variety of performances ranging from dancing, singing, spoken word, rapping, and a comedy routine.

“I’m glad to see so many participate and encourage each other to express themselves through their talents,” said S.G.A. President Eric Strocen.

The results of “Bacone’s Got Talent” were:

First place of $150 went to Tevin Loyd for his hilarious comedy bit.

Second place of $100 went to David Cooper and Dayonna Ruffin for their energetic dance routine.

Third place of $50 went to Tyler Reed for pouring his heart out through song.

The overall show was well received and many people came to show their support.

Bacone College awards MPS Miss NASA 2015 $40,000 scholarship

Muskogee Public Schools Indian Education is pleased to announce Muskogee High School junior Madison Shoemaker is our 2015 Miss NASA. Freshman Samiyra Logan is our 2015 Jr. Miss NASA.

President of Bacone College Franklin Willis surprised Shoemaker with a $40,000 scholarship of $10,000 a year for up to four years to Bacone College.

“You are an admirable young person and we want you to be here with us,” Willis said. “But no matter where you choose to go, we also wish you great success.”
